Fasting Index is an independent reference for fasting questions. It exists because the answers currently available are mostly published by companies selling the thing being asked about.

How it is funded

Through its own guides and tools. It does not sell supplements, and takes no affiliate revenue from any product it assesses. That constraint is enforced in the codebase, not just stated here: a build that tries to add a supplement to the catalogue fails.

Editorial review

Entries are reviewed by a credentialed reviewer before publication and carry that reviewer’s name and the date of review. Entries awaiting review are marked as drafts and excluded from search engines. Nothing is published on the strength of confident writing alone.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to know and will say so on the page when we change it. Where evidence is genuinely mixed, the entry says that rather than picking a side for the sake of a cleaner answer.
